This year, our Shiva Yoga Retreat holds a particularly profound significance, as it is scheduled to unfold on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri in 2026. The sacred ceremony will take place along the hallowed banks of the Ganga River, specifically in Kankhal, Haridwar – the very realm once belonging to King Daksha, the father-in-law of Lord Shiva. Kankhal, nestled near Haridwar, is a place steeped in mythological importance, most notably for housing the Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple. The primary initiation, the diksha itself, will be bestowed on the sacred day of Shivratri.
